Stay Strong All Summer: How to Keep Your Fitness on Track While You Travel

Summer is here—bringing sunshine, vacations, long weekends, and a change in routine. And while a little break is well-deserved, it doesn’t have to mean a pause in your fitness progress.

At the gym, we often hear:
“I’ll be out of town all next week.”
“I’ll just get back into it when the summer’s over.”
“I won’t have access to a gym, so I’ll just skip it.”

But here’s the truth: a little consistency goes a long way, especially during the busy summer months. And we’ve made it easier than ever to stay active while you’re on the move.

Introducing: Travel WODs

Starting this week, we’re posting Travel-Friendly Versions of the Daily WOD. These are minimal- or no-equipment workouts that mirror the intent of our gym programming, so you can stay connected, challenge yourself, and maintain momentum—wherever you are.

  • Quick & effective: 20–30 minutes, perfect for busy travel days

  • No equipment needed (or limited options with things like a jump rope or backpack)

  • Posted alongside your daily gym WOD

  • Score and track in the app just like usual!

Why Summer Consistency Matters

Skipping a week here and there might not seem like a big deal—but over a 2-3 month stretch, it adds up. Consistency helps:

  • Maintain your progress and avoid “re-start” fatigue

  • Keep energy levels high (especially when traveling)

  • Support mental health and stress management

  • Reinforce habits so you don’t lose momentum

Pro Tips for Summer Success

  • Schedule your workouts, even on vacation. Treat them like a meeting with yourself.

  • Check the app before you go—know what you can modify.

  • Post your scores—it keeps you connected with the community!

  • Tag us in your Travel WODs—we love seeing you train in wild places!

Remember: Summer fun doesn’t have to come at the expense of your fitness goals. Stay moving, stay strong, and stay connected—we’ve got your back no matter where your summer takes you.

Let’s make this your fittest summer yet. 🌞
