Benefits of Bone Broth

We are very excited to add Boulder Broth to the fridge space at CrossFit Sanitas. It's local, owned/operated/made by Sanitas athlete Kirstine Raynor, with bones sourced from Locavore Delivery, and is quite honestly, the best tasting bone broth I've ever had — and I've tried nearly all of them for sale in the area.

Not only is bone broth a wonderful warm beverage to enjoy at the end of long day, a mug can have upwards of 20g of protein and it's a fantastic source of collagen. Why is this important? Well since we're weak-jawed animals, it's really difficult for us to access all the nutrients inside the bones of the animals we eat, so drinking bone broth allows for easy consumption of this vital resource. Research shows that collagen:

  • Increases bone density and bone mass

  • Reduces inflammation and helps with repair of cartilage

  • Improves digestion

  • Reduces activity-related joint pain

It's also my go-to whenever I feel a sickness coming on, as it's essentially steroids for your immune system! I drink a mug of bone broth 3-4 times a week, and it's one of those things that I truly notice a difference when I don't have it.

Bone broth is very different than broth, so don't be misled. Grab a jar from the fridge at the gym and see for yourself!

In the meantime, read more about Boulder Broth from Kirstine below.

It all started in 2007 when I delivered my son, Canaan. While the pregnancy was amazing, the birth...not so much. I ended up hemorrhaging and both of us almost lost our lives. With so much blood loss, every single doctor, nutritionist and lactation consultant we sought recommended that I consume high quality bone broth - nutrients of which would help both Canaan and I thrive. I’ve been making bone broth and incorporating it into our lives regularly ever since. And now I am ready to share it with each of you!

Our bone broth is rich in minerals that support the immune system and contains healing compounds like collagen, glutamine, glycine and proline. And that collagen...heals your gut lining and reduces intestinal inflammation.

Boulder Broth has a faith born not of words, but of deeds. We transparently source every.single.ingredient consciously from fellow local land stewards. An extraordinary opportunity. Not only can we nourish and heal our bodies, but we CAN save the planet by eating better food.

Support Boulder Broth and connect with your food.
